Conversations with the audience follow the performance.
In Performance has highlighted the creative experiments of performing artists across disciplines, including dance, music, theatrical monologue, filmmaking, and visual arts. This collaborative series encourages interactions among the artists and with audiences, often featuring “talk-backs” with the public about the artists’ work. For choreographers in SHMD’s residency program, In Performance is a vehicle by which to show their latest pieces and share the development of their artistic process.
